This has been my favorite pastry shop for almost 50 years. We started coming after swimming practice at 5 in the morning and I’ve been hooked ever since. They even made a couple of wedding cakes for family members. Amazing!
In addition to visiting Heidelberg Pastry Shoppe on a few occasions to enjoy a special treat for breakfast, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding that featured a gorgeous vintage-style cake from Heidelberg and it was perfect! I loved the beautiful piping details, with a timeless style that perfectly matched the tone of the wedding day. I highly recommend Heidelberg for all occasions!
The German Sandwich was delicious with fresh baked bread assortment of quality German cold cuts, and deli mustard with a refreshing slice of tomato, quite efficient. perfectly packaged and delivered. The Black Forest cake is the best BFC I’ve ever had
Lovely bakery! Sooooo many wonderful options so don't come too hungry, but you won't regret indulging! The Apple Cinnamon coffee cake is amazing and it goes fast when served to a group so get two. : )
Amazing shop. Extremely friendly people, amazing pastries, really good bagels, good bread, and very fair prices. We just moved to the area and I think this will become a weekly tradition for the kids to go pick out a pastry. Highly recommended!!
My favorite bakery in the area for over 30 years! Every week we buy the hearty grain breads which are delicious and healthy. Heidelberg is our go to place for holidays, family birthdays and big events-weddings and anniversaries. The large pretzel and cheese dip is required at Super Bowl and fun events. Carla and Wolfgang have loyal employees who give the best customer service while incorporating youth in a wonderful diverse experience.
About 2 months ago, I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. That was a BIG mistake, because I couldn't decide on what to buy. Sooo much to choose from, so I got some of everything, lol The customer service was great, Gretel (I think her name was) very nice and explained a lot of the menu items to me. I ordered sandwiches, sausages, & some dessert which were awesome. When I arrived home the family destroyed it, I just glad I ate some in the restaurant, lol. I will be back for Round 2!!!
Great place. Very helpful staff. I loved the cherry turnovers. Tasty! They even had the white-cased german sausages , and the pretzel roll I bought was delish.
Best pastry shop in this area without a doubt. Lots of authentic German pastries as well as other items. Staff is friendly and shop is spacious with an area to sit and devour your food.
their coffee cake is to die for. So moist, SO GOOD. We also bought some brats which really hit the spot. And a donut, which was also great. So many workers behind the counter ready to help out & take your order. Service top notch! A few inside seating options, but more of a pick up & take out spot.
